With the amount of quirky concepts showing the members in cute skirts, I think we can officially name Red Velvet as the Kpop girl group owning the skirt fashion. But the girls have more to show than their signature pastel-toned two pieces, and Red Velvet’s skirt fashion shows us everything they’be got!
Formal
Pencil skirts have always been favored in formal wear for they’re form-fitting figures, creating a professional business look.
This pink skirt is so cute, and the fabric looks so plushy as well~ It looks especially comfortable for formal wear.
Irene pairs this look with a striped blouse to create pattern balance, while the heels elongate her slim figure.
You can never go wrong with a solid white piece for formal wear. It’s hard to see a white skirt, though, and that’s why this is one of my favorite outfits on the list.
The outfit itself is very simple, using common color schemes (black and white), but the fit and design of each piece is hard to find elsewear, including those white, platform-like, pointed heels.
This was taken during member Joy’s attendance at the ‘See By Chloe’ opening at Seoul’s Lotte mall. The skirt is uniform style, imitating many private school preppy looks and captures attention with its unique print.
Casual
Seulgi’s Airport Fashion showed us another simple but timeless combination. The white blouse isn’t anything too special, but paired with a light yellow skirt that screams spring, it turns this outfit into a modern and chic lady look.
The sporty look is a popular streetwear trend among the younger generation, known for being comfortable, casual, and fashionable.
These cute skirts from ‘Happiness‘ seem to be a cross between tennis skirts and party dresses, and they’re very Red Velvet.
Oh yes~ The cheerleader skirt look is arguably the groups’ signature look.
Denim pieces have been around since the 80s and 90s, and they’re now back better than ever, with different cuts and styles fitting the new era.
Joy wears a classic light denim skirt, with a flattering twist. The trends these days have been all about cutoffs and ripped ends, and this denim skirt epitomizes these latest trends among girls.
Here, Joy shows us a classic button-down style, but a unique color. White denim was rarely seen in the 90s, but these days they’re springing up on the trendiest fashion magazines, loved by all for its ability to match with any outfit piece.
