Kpop fans will relate, but their are many instances and situations in which anime collides with the world of Kpop… And when you combine two of Asia’s biggest trends, there’s bound to be a whole lot of awesome~
Inspired by the mangas and anime, these Kpop idols rock the white-hair look.
Many Taeyon stans will be able remember the moment they laid eyes on Taeyong in NCT-U’s The 7th Sense MV (right at the 23 second mark to be exact). Taeyong is an anime character come to life, the white hair, perfect visuals, and a voice that screams rapper! (Watch the MV HERE ~> NCT U – The 7th Sense MV )
During Overdose, EXO’s Kai sported this messy, wild-haired anime character style. This messy hairstyle is not easy to pull off (as it can look morning bed-head hair) but Kai pulls it off flawlessly.
Big Bang’s playful maknae seems to love pulling off anime-inspired looks! This Bae Bae era hairstyle (rewatch it HERE ~> Big Bang – Bae Bae MV ) fits perfectly with Seungri’s soft vocals and the instrumental in the background.
A former member of TVXQ, JYJ’s Xia Junsu released his first solo album titled Tarantallegra back in 2012. It seems this white/anime hairstyle was popular in those days as well!
SHINee’s precious maknae, Taemin, sported a totally new, grown-up look for his solo track title Danger. (rewatch it HERE ~> Taemin – Danger MV ) The Michael Jackson-influenced track shows Taemin with a fresh new look, one that his hyungs might’ve been a bit surprised to see ㅋㅋㅋ.
The baby-faced 2PM member has sported a variety of hairstyles, but this has to be my personal favorite~ Speaking of 2PM, tho… JYP! We need a 2PM comeback, don’t ya think?!
