It’s been a while since the skinny jean fever caught in Korea, and it probably won’t ever go away. Nowadays, skinny jeans are a staple for both male and female celebrities. In fact, seems like all Korean celebs tend to wear skinny jeans so tight that the average girl wouldn’t even be able to get her ankles through.
Now, a new trend has cauzed a frenzy in the fashion, world, and that’s the ‘Homewear’ trend. The trend is quite simple really, just clothes that are comfortable enough to wear at home. For this trend, “Loose” and “comfortable” are everything. Loose pants, loose shirts, loose sweaters, loose everything. Hopefully this trend will grow, because being in fashion+being comfortable might finally be possible. Every lazy guy/girl’s dream.
Of course, the fashion world seems to still be obsessed with the skinny jean trend, so it might be hard to spot all the ‘homewear’ outfits. Here’s a little guide for the beginner!
I figured most guys still wouldn’t be convinced, so I’ll start with a photo of GD as our starter. The biggest trendsetter in Korea, and possibly all of Asia, he’s been known to create or popularize some of the bigges trends. Convinced now?
Last but not least, Seventeen. They’ve been sporting this ‘homewear’ trend in various parts of their new MV for ‘BOOM BOOM’. It’s definetely a new kind of homewear that is a lot more on the daring side, but whoever can pull it off should definetely try! (Anyone else slightly reminded of the early 2010-ish era with the outfits? Hopefully that tragic era won’t be making a comeback anytime soon, but it might)
That’s all for today! Hopefully this post will be enough to get all you guys out there to try and experiment with this trend for yourself! If you’re one of our lady viewers, please go check out our ‘Homewear’ special for female celebrities as well!
Fall is coming to a close here up north, and the snow seems to be as eager as ever to come down and make our lives miserable. But for now, we’ll put the thoughts of shoveling driveways aside and focus on the exciting part-SWEATERS! Hands down my favorite thing to wear ever, my whole winter wardrobe is basically every kind of sweater in every kind of color.
The celebs in Korea seem to love sweaters as much as I do, becuase the latest Men’s Fashion Trend amongst Korean celebrities is the “Double Sweater” outfit. The concept of the trend is really simple (thankfully), a sweater/coat over another sweater. Yes, you might get a little sweaty or stuffy in there, but fashion always comes with sacrifice, no? Either way, no one can deny that this winter’s fashion trend in Korea is as cozy as it can get!
Halllyu star Kim Soo Hyun was seen with this outfit while supporting Actress Gong Hyo Jin’s newest movie “Missing” at its premier.
Dino of Seventeen was seen wearing this 2-sweater outfit while he was on the way to take his college enterance exams! (Let’s hope he did well)
V (aka Taehyung) of BTS wears a simple black turtlenck with a longer plaid coat as he stepped out of the airport, with a cute little mask as a bonus.
Woozi of Seventeen also was wearing the “double sweater” trend in his recent photoshoot with Dazed Korea. Love the coat’s unique design!
Woozi is again seen sporting the “double sweater” look in his concept photo for Seventeen’s comeback. (I’m an avid Carat, if anyone hasn’t noticed) This outfit is one of my personal favorites, with a thick plaid sweater and a denim jacket over it.
That tops it off for today’s update! I thought that it would be nice for some more fashion updates for guys as well, so I hope that if we have any male readers, they were able to enjoy today’s post and have a few inspiriations. Comment/post below what “double sweater” outfits you guys could come up with!

Different hair-parts can change your overall image and impression. A lot of the times, we just don’t know which hair-part fits us best; especially for the guys with friends who seriously don’t care to notice any change. To help the those dealing with this problem, here are a few hair-parting styles that guys can try out~
5:5 PART
As we’ve earlier reviewed, this style is common in the Kpop scene, with iconic fashionista GDragon being one of many who rock this look. This hair part is for all the fashion-forward men out there who know a good hairstyle is an important touch to a complete outfit.
6:4 PART
This part is a little off-center, giving off a soft, natural vibe. This part is probably the most popular and easiest to pull-off for any face shape. This hair part is a popular choice among guys these days, especially with the currently *hot* Comma hair trend.
7:3 PART
This is one of my personal favorites. You can wear this part up or down. It really accentuates the jawline and makes your face look smaller. This hair part would be especially fitting for those with a round face.
When looking for a change, many times the best thing to do is change your part. The position of your part really does a lot to your image, so try playing around with it and find the right one for you~
This currently trending men’s hairstyle in South Korea is a favorite among many kpop idols and Korean actors overtaking the world with the Hallyu wave. Members of kpop groups EXO, Got7, and BTS; along with actors of kdramas: Moonlight Embraces the Clouds, Remember, and movies : I Married an Anti-Fan, Master, along with other numerous celebrities, have sported this chic, classy style, and it is quickly becoming the hottest 2016 hair craze. This hairstyle complements an effortlessly casual or even a business formal look for any event. Here are a few Korean actors and kpop idols who have made this look their own at formal gatherings, photoshoots, and while going about their everday lives.
What is the so called “comma hair” craze?
This trend is called the “comma” hair trend because of how the hairstyle looks with the front portion of the hair curled inwards, resembling a comma. This trendy hairstyle helps to make your face look smaller and more angular, while also putting emphasis on your jawline.
Here are a few Korean celebrities who have been seen rocking this new hair trend for men.
Chanyeol of popular kpop group EXO sported this hairstyle at many events, including Monster and Lotto promotions. His comma hair is emphasized by his wavy hair texture, and the comma section of his hair is curled inwards, but not to the extent that it’s a C shape. It’s on the more natural side, and his clothes also complement a more casual look.
Mark of kpop boy band Got7 also sports this hair trend during fan meetings and promotional activities, and most recently during Hard Carry promotions. His “comma hair” is not as obvious, and gives a softer feel to his style. His messy-wavy hair gives volume to the comma portion of his hair, and brightens up the left side of his face. Also, Mark’s deep, side part gives him a more “bad-boy” aura.
The golden maknae, Jungkook, of rising group BTS (aka Bangtan Boys) was first seen sporting this hairstyle during the War of Hormone era. Jungkook’s hairstyle is a bit different than those seen before in the way that the “comma” portion of his hair starts from the root of his middle, not side, part. Although he has a middle part, he doesn’t curl both sides inwards, but one inwards and the other outwards. This gives a “I woke up like this” feel. Unlike the others’ before, Jungkook’s hair is more straight than wavy.
Park Bo Gum of recently ended Moonlight Embraces the Clouds played the role of a playful prince in the Korean drama, but challenges the role of a sophisticated man in his recent photoshoot with SURE. Park is seen with the comma hair look as well. The “comma” portion of his hairstyle is much smaller and not as noticeable, but once again, the deep side part accentuates the “comma.” His hair is also seen gelled back for a more classy look.
Young actor Yoo Seung Ho, who played a boy fighting for his father’s innocence in Remember: War of the Son, had this look for almost the whole drama. The “comma” portion of his hair is not as accentuated. Instead, like Jungkook’s previous hairstyle, Yoo Seung Ho took the left side of his hair and brought it in towards the right side of his face, making it look like a mini comma. This helps to balance the look while making his face look much smaller.
Veteran actor Kang Dong Won has starred in numerous blockbuster hits, with his most recent movie being Master. Kang Dong Won has also participated in this hair trend, and was seen wearing this look at numerous movie conferences and meetups. The comma in his hairstyle is more accentuated than the others’ shown before, and his hair is mostly straight except for the volume given in the front. Almost more than half of his front hair is curled downwards in a C shape, almost looking like bangs. However, he leaves space on the left side of his face so as not to look too “stuffy” and to brighten his image. Kang Dong Won emphasizes this style with his jet-black hair color, which gives a classy, manly feel to his image.
This new Korean hair craze is questioning all those other hair trends only suitable for girls. The trendiest style is the comma hair style, which guys can also be a part of! Get inspiration from your favorite Kdrama actor or Kpop group idol and rock the comma hairstyle!
